    Hi all
I havent been on this BB for several years as Ive not been well (and couldnt get into or out of my Midget). Fortunately things are looking up and its time to get back on the road. Unfortunately, my Midget has been standing idle for some time, probably not run for 12-18 months. I have started it (first time of asking) after putting some oil through the spark plug holes and turning it ov...

    Poly bush instead?

  • Paul Walbran18 April 2024

For some time now these top trunnions bushes have been coming through with a simple parallel outside dimension rather than tapered as original. End result is a short life due to contacting only at either end rather than all along the bush.

We have tried multiple suppliers (6 at least), but all the same design. In fact two different versions of the same design.

    Has anyone found a ...

If only one section of wire is getting hot that can happen if the connection at either end is poor i.e. switch or bullet connections. Voltage is lost there, which creates heat in the resistance, and that will travel down the wire. That would result in a lower voltage at the 'load' end of the wire, and everywhere downstream of there, than at the 'source' end.

  • GuyW17 April 2024

No, seems not now! Did you edit your chosen word or maybe it's just a case of me jumping to conclusions. Or at my age 'should have gone to Specsavers'. They always said it would happen! 🤣

Yep, quality Guy. It's the video that really had me laughing. Esp' the way she keeps lifting up his head. 🤣🤣.

Worthy of a Monty Python's sketch. Shame they didn't do one themselves. A human and even funnier version of the dead parrot.

    Can you imagine?

John Cleese would have said, --

"Mary Whitehouse has taken Umbrage no surprise there " lol.

  • anamnesis17 April 2024

    Not exactly you didn't. Lol.

Anyway, I did, eventually; and on both counts. 😆😆.
