Les Rose 05 May 2024 The 1275 valves have triple grooves, so I will have to to get new collets, and possibly caps. They are not expensive. As you say, I might have to shim the springs, but Minispares have a set of springs which they say don't need shimming. I need to go through my stock of springs and check them for poundage. Maybe I can reuse some of them.

PJ Jennings 05 May 2024 Thanks Mathew, so it's a strong possibility that I have the original wheel even though it has no markings. Here it is after I did what I could to preserve it. Even though It's stored in a box for the next care taker, it'll stay with the car. Again, thank you. PJ

But never quite got round to it and it sat for several years in his parents garden. Prompted disposal when they wanted to sell up.
