My friend just re-placed the leaky oil seal on his Sprite's timing cover. On reassembly, the pulley's tab washer slipped, but the nut was tightened to full torque so he decided to continue and put everything back together, bar the radiator which was being painted.

Yes the WhatsApp pictures will need transferring separately. After transfer the pictures will remain on the phone as it's a "copy" rather than "move" function (if you're doing what I do which it sounds like.

Right, I found the Storage analysis.
It still has 546 mb of photos and around 350 of videos. Thats 1400+ photos! They all appear to be WhatsApp - I / we exchange a lot of photos around the family, many with my son of building details, wiring, car mechanics etc. So its holding those.

Many will be duplicates if in WhatsApp as the original would be a phone camera shot, but I cant be sure. ...

Thanks Anam. Nice bit of lateral thinking. But it hasn't worked! I disabled both Wi-Fi and my phone network. Rebooted. Photos still showing up, nicely organised by date, going back about 5 years.
I then found a clause which said something about allowing apps etc to update automatically even when Wi- fi is off! Sneaky. So I disabled that and rebooted but photos are still there!

I used to have to teach this stuff as a trainer/ assessor for the Lifeboats and believe it or not I had to explain to them why they shouldn't drink washing up liquid.
