    Here and here.

  • anamnesis29 April 2024

These phone operating systems are as frustrating as hell.

Pull down from the top to access control.

Switch off WiFi. Restart phone to clear buffer.

Now you shouldn't be able to see any cloud storage, because you aren't connected, and anything you see is on the phone. If stuff's still there, you didn't move it, you must have copied it. So if you're sure you have got all you nee...

    Anam,

Just search for 'legionella garden hose' it might put you off using it.

  • anamnesis29 April 2024

    Humza Yousaf stands down.

How long has 'Sunk' got left? How long before he quits too?

    Any bets? 🤣🤣🤣.

  • anamnesis29 April 2024

Bloody hell Grey. Legionella in the screen wash? I'll be more careful to stick to the mix ratios then and make sure I wash my hands more after touching the stuff.

Too much or not dilute enough? It doesn't seem to matter what I do, it gets full of slime. Maybe the Halfords stuff just isn't that good. Or could it be because I buy the 4.5 litre plastic container and it lasts years?

    May...

Yes Bill. When I connected the USB cable it put up a selection window and I chose "photo and video transfer".
The phone then appears in the windows directory tree under C drive and I went through dragging or moving all tho photo files I could find to a new folder on my D drive which is where all my Data files etc are held. C is generally only the OS and programme files.

  • Greybeard 29 April 2024

Yep, similar Anam. That's the reason the manufacturers are so specific about mix ratios.
It's also why the Police, Ambulance, Trumpton, RNLI and so on insist on screenwash additive.
The wash reservoir gets warm and cool in a cycle and it's the perfect incubator for Legionella. The additive supposedly kills it.

Willie, that's a great call about the tiny mesh screen. I'd forgotte...

    Guy
Did you click on the phone as a drive in "file manager" on your laptop, then copy pictures to a laptop folder?

  • Les Rose29 April 2024

It was the outer fulcrum. Would you believe it? The cotter pin was missing. I suppose if the nut comes off it would work loose. Hard to see under all the old grease and muck. So the kingpin was sliding back and forth, the cork washers having disappeared. Rather annoyingly, I have spares in stock but not a new fulcrum pin, which is slightly worn. I recall that when I replaced these in the 1970s the...

    Dave,
yes maybe it is displaying the backup on google. The phone, of course, doesnt show the file pathway in the way that a computer does so its hard to tell what one is looking at.
I too intend deleting the google back up, when I have verified the current process. It hadn't occurred that might not be easy!

David, I have been moving files, or dragging them, not actually deleting them...
